Faith No More Berlin 16-06-09

Dus, after seeing Faith No More for the first time i just could not believe i saw them LIVE....and still can't.
After the Berlin show it just seemed so "unreal" that i just watched one of my all time favourite bands LIVE! Of course i've seen a fuckload of bootlegs but to actually see them live LIVE..... nope, never thought that would happen.

First time i heard about the reunion was when aurora contacted me and she was not able to comunicate and she was just so hyper i got hyper too in a aggressive way like TELL ME!!!!! and she just sended me the link to rock a rolla website and there was just posted that Faith No More was going to reunite for a series of dates. I started screaming like crazy, CRAZY crazy.

Then Tourdates started popping up and one of the first few solo shows was in Berlin and since Brixton was sold out i thought "ok, im gonna make an exeption for FNM..... Im going to Germany"

When my ticket arrived i was just like WHAAAAAAAAAAAAA!! IM HOLDING A FAITH NO MORE TICKET!!! WICH ISNT A VINTAGE ONE SOME MUNKFUCK POSTED ON EBAY!!
I dont even want to mention it brought tears to my eyes..... oh i just did.

June 16 2009 was FAITH NO MORE DAY, I was going to meet up with people in Berlin who i know for years virtualy but never actually met in 3D.
After meeting them i was highly dissapointed, JUST KIDDING!

At the venue i met some other crazy nice people from all over Europe, even a girl that flew over from Russia with NO ticket. We told her that FNM was going to play in Russia a week later wich she simply replied " I have vacation now"..... AWESUMO!

When the gates went open we all ran like crazy motherfuckers and fuck yeah i got front row! I met Paulina from Poland (nice girl) and we just started talking as if we knew eachother for years, crazy!



Opening acts were Farmers Maret and ZU! mighty Mickey it was GOOD!

THEN FAITH NO MORE, when reunited started the tears were fighting their way out and fuck a duck Patton's voice made it even worse! I was crying like a baby.
When The Real Thing started me and Paulina looked at eachoter and both said "ohhhh SHIT!!" and what happened after that, i cant really remember since the show totally sucked me up and what was happening around didnt matter at that time.

Never Say Never

Sometimes you discover things and totally fall in love with it.
In this case, I heard something and fell head over heels for it.
Its a book filled with craziness, distant friendships and most of all it is something that makes you feel good.
This book has many chapters but the two chapters that made their impact a decade ago were already finished for my generation. And they made it a fact that they will never continue on writing in those chapters.

So i laid down my tomahawk and realised i have to face the fact that i will never experience seeing or hearing this live.
People got disgusting and started spreading their one liners such as "They are coming back!" for the last 5 years.
But the thing that was said in 2008 was something everybody was paying attention to, it was the so called "real deal", a warm up for the big news.

Many, many, many, many, many people actually started to believe it, sources to the so called "my musical messiah" even said: "they are talking about it"
Which led to confusing times, one said no other said yes. Your own mind was ready for a "calm the fuck down" moment. 'Cause somewhere inside your head you knew this time it might happen.

I've met the main character of the book a few times but always felt too chicken to ask. This is the kind of person that would definitely point and laugh at you.
So i decided to live in a "patience for a statement" moment.
3 months of crazy rumours "they will come here, they will come there".
Will this chapter that was closed many years ago be opened up again and will they continue on writing something new to add to their story and i could sorta be part of it by saying "yeah! i remember that! i was there!!" NO!, it was done, finished, they closed this chapter years ago.

And then there was silence, no words from anybody, Was it again some silly rumour or was it what they call here in Holland "A silence before the storm"???
I gave up talking about it, once more, it was ended over 10 years ago. How could i be so stupid and get carried away for a moment thinking it would happen?? I don't even want it to happen but would love to see it.
I stepped out of the twilight zone and continue on enjoying other chapters of the big book.

But on 24 February 2009 something was released, what - is - it? its it! :|
Something unexpected was announced, the chapter many closed years ago in which the "faith" was gone, will be opened up while I'm alive? while I'm enjoying other chapters of the book? what i was convinced of it would never happen again?
Like they say: Never Say Never.

One of my all time favourite bands: faith No More, is going to reunite this year.
This is something i never thought would happen, i can say this over and over, i just can't believe it.
Today, Thursday 26 February 2009 i read their statement on their website, its for real, it is really going to happen.
It was something i was against, i didn't want it to happen. Now i don't know wetter i want to laugh, scream or cry of happiness.
Its crazy what music can do to you.

Alcuni vecchi brani Italiani

First time i heard Italian music I LIKE was during the Mondo Cane show in Holland.
Songs like: "L'Urlo Negro and Storia D'Amore are a MUST for your ears.
Now a few months later im having an Italian music flu,

Only shit songs i knew were from a girl named Laura pausini, CRAP!
And some dudes named Luciano Pavarotti and Andrea Bochelli but that really didnt gave me a "whuuuhuuuu" moment.
But then some strange Italian fregna introduced me to the "original" Mondo Cane songs and god DAMN they are too good! Must admid Patton did a wonderfull job by covering the old tunes.
Artist such as: I Blackmen, Adriano Celentano and EdoaRRRRRRRRRdo Vianello already convinced me. Happy Italian tunes haha. This is the point where people with the age of 50 come in: "music was way better back in the day" ok, now after hearing these tunes i must admid its way better than the fucking Beatles, WHO?!
Even tho my Italian is shit at this moment i cant help it singing along BUT with the words i make up ;) aight!

Madlove

What the world needs is some madfuckin'love!

and Trevor Dunn created it.
Madlove is a new band by Trevor Dunn, maybe this time people will notice Trevor Dunn's music. The music he is making these days with all kinds of bands or in the past is not for everybody's ears. But thats not a "bad" thing 'cause the music scene would be very boring if everybody makes the same shit.

Back to Madlove.
Madlove made its debut in London, consider it a "warm up" gig for the ATP, The Nightmare Before Christmas Festival in Minehead, UK.

Me and my friend Bir checked out a bit of the soundcheck but we kinda felt "bad" for being there so we left after a few moments of "shall we go now?"
We also wanted it to be a "surprise" for our ears later that evening.
So after enjoying Big Business it was time to rush to the other stage to see Madlove.
